It is great that there is a candidate with a new voice of change that is joining the race to succeed ernie chambers. I feel john carter is the best person for the seat and hope that he is elected so he can give north omaha the spift that it needs

Wow! i had no idea that the manufacturing area is that high in demand in Nebraska except for the diesel area with having I-80 bring a lot of truck in and out. You know i would like some more information about this need of demand in manufacturing for an article in my high school here to point out how valuable these fields really are and maybe get some sort of a program like: ‘Dream it. Do it.’ or at least make kids realize that these few factory like classes, as small as they are here, are very big and can make a lot of good money and a good lifestyle.

There are definitely some legitimate concerns about the automobile fuel economy mandate - government trying to regulate change in the place of consumer demand usually isn't good. The last time they made these types of fuel economy mandates it forced car makers to cut car weight so much that there are hardly any cars that can tow anything anymore. Also, Congress is trying to put cars and trucks in the same weight category which also be bad for consumers.

I work with the Auto Alliance and the auto manufacturers are actually behind a plan for increased standards, but they just need to be responsible - check out DriveCongress when you get the chance if you want to read more about it.
